PP&Co Announces New Partners

Marc Parkinson, Managing Partner of Petrinovich Pugh & Company, LLP (PP&Co), is pleased to introduce Andrew Bader and Jie Zhu as newly minted partners of the Firm. “It is very gratifying to welcome Jie and Andrew as partners,” Marc said. “We measure our firm growth and prosperity by the growth of our people and our clients, and by the quality of service that we provide. Andrew and Jie have been an integral part of that growth and excellence and it is fitting that they be admitted as partners.”

jieJie joined the Firm in 1999. Her specialties include assisting international start-up companies with accounting and tax needs, helping international investors with tax planning and compliance, estate and gift tax planning, and trust and probate accounting. Her love of accounting and enthusiasm for cultural exploration have fueled her interest in, and extensive knowledge of, international tax. She is Chair of the Firms’ International Tax Practice Group and the Education Committee, as well as a member of the PrimeGlobal Women’s Leadership Conference Planning Committee.

“As a first-generation immigrant, I am extremely proud of this accomplishment,” Jie said. “PP&Co was one of the first CPA firms in San Jose to admit a female Partner. I am honored to carry on her legacy, and eager to continue to contribute to the growth of the Firm.”

andrewAndrew came to PP&Co in 2005. He is a proven finance and accounting leader with a background in sales and marketing. The combination of his expertise and experience enables him to advise clients on not just accounting issues, but on all of their needs as business owners. Andrew has accumulated a wealth of knowledge in construction and real estate. He serves as the Chair of the Firm’s Construction Practice Group and spends a majority of his time serving contractors and developers. He currently chairs the PrimeGlobal association’s Construction and Real Estate Group and is active with other industry organizations, such as the Construction Financial Management Association.

Andrew is excited to utilize his considerable marketing and accounting expertise to promote the continued development of the Firm. “I embrace the entrepreneurial spirit of the Valley. Becoming a stakeholder in this business means that I can use that energy to make a positive impact on the Firm, and thereby, on the lives of our clients. The Firm management team functions as a family and I am privileged and humbled to become one of its newest members.”

When asked how the addition of these two new partners will impact PP&Co, Marc had this to say, “Andrew’s background in private industry brings to the firm a unique perspective. That knowledge will be of great benefit to the firm, and to our clients. Jie’s experience in international tax and her long history of success with our firm also makes her a clear choice. I couldn’t be happier for our firm and the bright future that this move ensures.”
