REMINDER: Tax Payments Due June 16th
For taxpayers who make some tax and estimated tax payments, several important payments are due on Monday, June 16, 2025. To avoid penalties and interest, be sure to review your obligations and submit any required payments on time.
FEDERAL PAYMENTS DUE
1. 2nd Quarter Federal Estimated Tax Payments (Individuals and Corporations)
- Includes: Individuals, sole proprietors, partners, S-Corp shareholders, and corporations
- Forms to Use:
- Individuals: Form 1040-ES
- Corporations: Form 1120-W
2. Estimated Tax Payments for Trusts and Estates
- Form to Use: Form 1041-ES
3. Estimated Tax Payments for Tax-Exempt Organizations with UBTI
- Form to Use: Form 990-W
4. Estimated Tax Payments for Nonresident Aliens or Foreign Entities
- Form to Use: Form 1040-ES (NR)
CALIFORNIA PAYMENTS DUE
1. Pass-Through Entity (PTE) Elective Tax Payments – 2025
- Includes: Eligible S-Corporations, partnerships, and LLCs taxed as partnerships or S-Corps that elect into the PTE program.
- Form to Use: FTB Form 3893 (PTE Elective Tax Payment Voucher)
- Payment Info: Greater of $1,000 OR 50% of the 2024 PTE elective tax must be paid by June 16, 2025, to preserve the election.
2. California LLC Estimated Fee Payments
- Includes: LLCs doing business in California with total income of $250,000 or more.
- Form to Use: FTB Form 3536
- Payment Info: The 2025 estimated LLC fee is due based on gross income earned in 2024.
PAYMENT TIPS
- Federal Payments: Use IRS Direct Pay or EFTPS.
- California Payments: Pay online through the FTB’s Web Pay for Businesses or mail in with the appropriate voucher.
- Keep documentation of your payment confirmations for your records.
