 PP&Co participates in walkathon for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of the Bay Area October 31, 2009 On the morning of October 31, 2009 the Silicon Valley San Jose CalCPA team participated in the second annual San Jose walkathon for Making Strides against Breast cancer of the Bay Area. The team of 16 walkers, nine from Petrinovich Pugh & Co. LLP, was lead by Donna Bumgardner, a director at PP&Co and president of the Silicon Valley San Jose Chapter CalCPA. It was a 5k non-competitive walk that began and ended at the Arena Green and traveled through Guadalupe River Park trail and downtown San Jose. One of Donna’s priorities during her term as president is to encourage CPA’s to participate in more community service activities. The team raised over $1600 that will go towards supporting the American Cancer Society’s efforts to fund research, increase public awareness and provide free programs and services to people impacted by breast cancer.
