 PP&Co Ranked in Accounting Today’s Best Places to Work Survey January 12, 2009 2008 has been a fantastic year for us when you look at the results of three different employee survey''s that Petrinovich Pugh & Co has participated in. "We are really proud of making it into the top ten," Marc Parkinson, managing partner for Petrinovich Pugh & Company, exclaimed back in May 2008 when told of placing 9th among small companies in the ''100 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area by the San Francisco Business Times, Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and East Bay Business Times. "The recognition goes to prove something that we all have known for a long time: Petrinovich Pugh & Company is a great place to work." This month, Petrinovich Pugh & Company (PP&Co) was named as one of the Best Accounting Firms to Work for in the United States. This first annual program gathered information from companies across the country that completed a two-part survey process. The first part consisted of evaluating each nominated company''s workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems and demographics. The second part consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration, survey and analysis process and determined the final rankings which will be published in the January 2009 edition of Accounting Today. Also this month PP & Co was selected by INSIDE Public Accounting as one of its "2008 All-Stars" for its Human Resources practices. This reflects the high scores we received in categories that recognize positive human resource efforts-turnover rates, average staff pay, tenure with the firm, and training. Marc states "while the awards and recognition are nice, what''s really important is that we have created a workplace that our people want to be a part of. This cuts way down on turnover which in turn leads to continuity and efficiencies our clients appreciate. Happy and focused people can concentrate on adding value, and doing a good job for our clients." |
