 Silicon Valley Accounting Firm Named 9th Best Place to Work in the Bay Area May 7, 2008 San Jose, California – Petrinovich Pugh & Company was elated to be named among the '100 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area' by the San Francisco Business Times, Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal and East Bay Business Times. Although this may not seem like much of a surprise to the CPAs who work for the Silicon Valley accounting firm, there was no small amount of competition when it came to contentment in the workplace. Utilizing a survey which contained over 30 probing questions that gauged the job satisfaction of its employees, Petrinovich Pugh & Company placed in the top ten when compared with hundreds of Bay Area companies that employ anywhere between 20-50 employees. Petrinovich Pugh & Company is an accounting firm with over five decades of history in Silicon Valley and what sets them apart from other financial companies is their holistic approach to business and personal wealth as well as their enjoyable atmosphere. “We are really proud of making it into the top ten,” Marc Parkinson, managing partner for Petrinovich Pugh & Company, exclaimed. “The recognition goes to prove something that we all have known for a long time: Petrinovich Pugh & Company is a great place to work.” Every year, thousands of employees are asked to answer a series of survey questions regarding their jobs. Over 500 businesses across from 12 different counties participated in the search for the best place to work in the Bay Area. The companies were categorized based on the size of their workforce: giant companies – 1,501+ employees; big companies – 501-1,500 employees; mid-sized companies – 101-500 employees; small companies – 51-100 employees; and small 25-50 employees. Companies were not allowed to enhance their scores with any marketing or promotional materials. This ranking is based solely on the satisfaction of its employees.
