Donna Bumgarner receives Certificate of Achievement Award
January
2007
There's
little about charitable donations Petrinovich
Pugh & Company Senior Manager Donna Bumgarner
does not know. She has more than 20 years of
experience helping clients record their annual
charitable efforts and she makes significant
yearly donations herself as a volunteer and
with cash contributions. On January 19, the
American Cancer Society presented Donna with
a Certificate of Achievement Award for her outstanding
work.
Donna
donates her time to help the American Cancer
Society with several annual fund raising programs,
including Daffodil Days. The Daffodil Days program
is a three-month promotional campaign during
January, February, and early March. The funds
raised support the Society's patient services,
education and research programs. Donations can
also be directed as a Gift of Hope which gives
daffodil bouquets to cancer patients. For more
information click here: Daffodil
Days
Donna
started to become more involved in the fight
to find a cure for cancer as a result of her
mother's long fight against the disease. Other
programs she volunteers for include the Golden
Gate Invitational Golf Tournament, Relay for
Life, the Young Cancer Survivors Scholarship
Program, and Making Strides Against Cancer.
Since
1913 the American Cancer Society has worked
to find a cure for cancer. With chartered divisions
throughout the country and over 3,400 local
offices, the American Cancer Society (ACS) is
committed to fighting cancer through balanced
programs of research, education, patient service,
advocacy, and rehabilitation.
