treasurer of the San Jose Chapter of the California
Society of CPAs. Donna already serves on the
chapter's Board.

thank our guests at the Silicon Valley Capital
Club last evening for the making the Second
Annual Financial Forum a success. We greatly
appreciate your taking the time to spend an
evening with us, hope you enjoyed yourself,
and hope you gained some valuable financial
knowledge. And we look forward to seeing you
at next year's Forum. Approximately 100 guests
enjoyed cocktails and appetizers throughout
the evening as experts in retirement planning,
tax planning, life insurance, and investing
gave presentations. PP&Co. Partner Buddy
Goldstone moderated the event and raffled off
iPod Shuffles throughout the evening. Jack Hillis
of Hillis Financial Services kicked off the
presentation by providing an overview or IRA
rollovers and the four basic options available
regarding managing the rollover of a retirement
account. Hillis also provided advice on how
to make the most of the retirement assets. Rich
Baer of Legacy Capital Group explained the significant
benefits of refinancing your life insurance
policy. PP&Co Partner Tom Wagstaff provided
an overview of pertinent changes to tax laws,
and advised guests on planning for the upcoming
tax season. Sterling Moore of Van Kampen Investments
gave an intriguing review of historical events
and their influence on investing.

Association's 2005 Heart Walk September 2005.
With help from the Firm's new matching funds
program, the team raised a significant contribution
to help fund the fight against heart disease
and stroke.

of the California Society of CPAs, Marc G. Parkinson,

LLP, has been appointed to the American Institute
of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) council
by the California Society. The California Society
of CPAs has 28,143 members and 14 chapters.
